Apacies alpha 0.9


With this update we are back on schedule with some cool new mechanics; because I had some time off, this update was a smooth ride and a bunch of different ideas came together!

Apacies will now run away from you if they have a non-combative nature (like Timid or Terrified). An easy way for Apacies to be more alive in the world, and I may make neutral apacies natures too. 

Traps are here! Using the "T" button, you can now place unlimited traps in a Route or town (they disappear if you leave). Once a trap is placed, if an Apacies is chased into it, the creature remains stuck there until you battle or leave the area. This is an easy way for players to enjoy the world at their own pace, as you can trap any creature that may be after you.

Bait is here! As of now bait has a defined value of 1.75, and will activate if you press "B". This will cause all Apacies that see you to have a 1.75x multiplier to their base speed and their line of sight. If this ever gets to be to much you can press the "B" button again to disable this effect.

Lastly in the overworld, Enemy humans (still tentatively called Leaders) can chase you around! However they do not have any animation tied to them, so it's a little funny to watch

And Dream Catchers now are unlimited use! AND Can be used to target a specific creature when fighting multiple Apacies. The latter feature had been a workaround to get Dream Catchers working in a past update, but It's a good time to correct that. 

With Bait and Dream Catchers, I have plans to make sidequests to give higher potency uses of those items. Like Dream catchers with a higher capture rate (currently this item has no benefits and is subjected to the base game mechanics), and bait that get's pogressively more potent (it's 1.75 for this update but I may make bait go up to 3x an Apacies speed and sight.. it may be a little too chaotic, we'll figure that out

As always thank you guys for supporting me and this project I love doing. I'm hoping that after these next 2 update Apacies will officially be in Beta and I can start working on story and final game sprites. Even better, the 1.0 release (if I'm happy with how the next 2 updates go) is scheduled to release around Arizona's anniversary; So I'll try my best to send the Beta off with a meaningful launch!
